There are 3 things that could be wrong
1. your impeller isn't sitting right in the hole where it's suppose to
2. or you don't have enough water in your tank to take out through the pump, you need to have the right level of water for the pump to properly work
3. or you got gravel in your impeller
Hope that helps
Good luck

It should only be putting out bubbles for a few minutes (until all the water has replaced the air inside the uptake tube). If it's putting out bubbles for a long while after, make sure there's nothing inside the hole where the impeller (like a little propeller) sits and the uptake tube is sitting straight over the impeller - it sounds like something might be hitting the impeller and that's not good). Also check that the uptake tube isn't cracked anywhere so that air bubbles are getting in that way.

The first thing you should do is make sure there isn't any gravel or sand in the impeller assembly. This could be causing the noise.
More likely is simply some air trapped in the intake that is cavitating with the impeller. This is nothing to worry about. Normally there is some air trapped inside the intake tubes that will work itself out over time.

There may be air trapped in the filter or it may be debris like gravel. To check for air just adjust the flow on the knob until it quits or shut it off and refill the filter until water is coming out into the tank and restart.
To check for gravel shut it off and take off the part off that goes into the tank and inspect & clean the wheel area. If these things don't work I would take it back as a safety precaution.

Its just the bubbles hitting with the propeller. Nothing to be worried about.
