That THEY will decide to join the
Army to help their dear President
win HIS war in Iraq?

My Republican neighbor is all
rah rah with the Iraqi war but
won't let his 19 year old son join
the Army...(Just like Mitt Romney!)

Why is that?

If more Republicans were really as supportive of this war as they claim to be, the Army would not be granting waivers for serious criminal offenses, taking people with low aptitude scores, paying out such large recruitment bonuses, taking in gang members and skinheads and raising age limits. Their so-called patriotism seems to be limited to lip service.

All of this is done in an effort to get enough people to meet the quotas. This kind of military recruiting is not good for the military and is not good for the US.

Funny part is that the Army is about 87% Republican so I guess it's no surprise that a lib like you doesn't get it because you haven't got a clue.

Bush avoided war and Cheney avoided war, but are willing to send others to war. It's is really cowardly and pathetic. A true conservative would fight like a man and not be a wuss.

Therer are many reasons why people do or do not join the army. Some are better suited to the military than others. Generals seem to prefer those who are best suited, what a surprise. Is for a 19 yr old son, he is legally an adult. He makes his own decisions.

We will. We have plans to go to a town fair and then watch fireworks. It's how we celebrate our freedoms. I'm sorry you do not get along with your neighbor. Maybe we could all work on this.

If you believe "patriotic" means wrapping oneself in a flag as they stuff themselves with cheap beer and hot dogs; than yes they will feel patriotic for the 4th of July.

There are still Republicans in America?!?!?!

I thought Berry Gold water and Gerald Ford both passed away.

NeoCons look at the Forth of July as a welfare event. If people really loved America they wouldn't waste money on fireworks.

The majority of the army is made up of honorable men. When will the libs step up to defend their own rights to criticize those who lay down their lives, so that those morons can even be free to speak out?

1. Most republicans don't associate themselves with Bush Jr. any more.

2. How the hell are we suppose to know what your neighbor is thinking?

3. Do you even have a neighbor or are you just sitting on your porch drinking kool-aid?
