Last week we had an ant problem in my kitchen, in the cabinet where I store my pots and pans. We laid some traps down and they were gone a few days later. There is no food source for them and they are only on the side of the kitchen where the pots and pans are. A few days after they were gone some came back. There is no trail, and there are only a few at a time on the countertops, in the same area. I laid more traps around the kitchen but they are not working?!?!
They seem to appear on the countertop out of nowhere. We have a tile countertop, so my first question is this. Can they be living underneath the tile? If so how can we get rid of them? Also, any good tips other than using the traps. We also have the house sprayed every month for bugs, so I just can't figure this out and we can't call the pest control guy until Monday. Thanks!

vinegar water would help, just spray it in the cracks. I have also heard of bleach water too. Just purchase a spray bottle and put 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar, or 1/4 bleach
