Yes it can, I have my snail and Betta together and the Betta does not bother the snail.

Yes and No
depends on type of snail,,,most will get along fine, but Apple snails have a tendency to eat anything they can grab
also if you snail dies,,be sure to dispose ASAP or it will poison the tank
snails will not typically survive is a bowl tank without filter

yep.... ive tried that once.. .but i found the snail too slow.. lol. no offence but i really do liked it... uhm usually betta fishes do nip fins of other fishes if its mouth can nip it.. but a snail's shell can be. thus, the snail can protect itself.. if its the other way round, (the snail might harm the betta), it can only harm your betta if it carries pathogens.. =)

Much will depend on the betta. I put my olive nerite snail with one of my bettas, and he promptly nipped off its antennae (had to hurt). Others seem fine with them.

Of course snails are very firendly to fish! They help clean they tank and are fun to watch!

yes. your betta probobly wont even notice the new snail because it is so slow. and even if it did, its shell is so hard it will be fine even if it attacks.

Well it all depends if the beta is male you cant but if it is a female it is allright.. I reccomend that you put them in seperate tanks just in case
