huum, appearance wise. hands down it goes to Sony Vaio. however, should it (appearance) be the factor for choosing your notebook? i would still go for HP if performance would be the bench mark. there are HP models out there with good looking design too. try the hpdv6000 series.

i would say SONY, because its a better brand, and loooks nicer...specially the white sony laptop...
