Sure... I made a wonderful dinner for guests last night and there are a score of leftovers. Let's see...
For appetizers we had: BRUSCHETTA ALA MUFULLETTA
A Mediterranean appetizer with a pesto-like tappenade!
Soup and salad came next!
Soup: CALAMARI - FESTIVAL STYLE. I live on the central coast and this is the official recipe of the "Gilroy Garlic Festival"! It is amazing!
Salad: ARTICHOKE AND FENNEL SALAD. This is very traditional in Italy, and absolutely mouth watering. The use of fresh fennel really adds to the distinct taste.
Pasta: BOLOGNESE PASTA SAUCE
The classic Italian meat sauce for pasta!
Bologna's ragu is the most famous in Italy. According to the Bologna chapter of Italy's gastronomic society, L'Accademia Italiana della Cucina, this is the most typical and authentic-tasting rendition of the city's famed sauce.
For the meat lovers: VEAL SCALOPPINI ALA MARSALA
(Amazingly tender)
After dinner deserts: Espresso served with my grandmother's CHOCOLATE BISCOTTI recipe.
These are sweet biscotti...and great for dunking in espresso coffee!
Finally: TIRAMISU. Oh yeah... homemade and decadent! A traditional Italian delicacy!
If those don't work, I can always whip you up a superb omelet! :)
