I just watched a Celine Dion/Josh Groban video on YouTube. Is there a way I can download the audio portion onto a CD? If so, can you give me step-y-step instructions? Thanks.

If you are using Windows XP:

First download the entire video from YouTube and save it in a location that's easy to remember.

When it has downloaded completely start Windows Movie Maker (Start--> Programs--> Windows Movie Maker).

In Movie Maker go to File--> Import into collections.

In the dialog box that appears navigate to the file you have downloaded, select it and OK your way out. Depending on the length of the clip it'll take from a few seconds to several minutes to import.

Once it is imported you will see icons of the sections of the clip in the middle pane of Movie Maker.

Drag each clip, beginning with the top and leftmost and going from left to right, to the Audio / Music part of the timeline you see at the bottom of the Movie Maker.

Once you have dragged and placed all the clips go to File--> Save Movie File and follow instructions in the wizard.

Since you haven't put any video on the timeline it will save it as a .wma file that will play in Windows Media Player. You can use other software to convert it to mp3 or other formats.

Hope this helps.

I answered a somewhat similar question on here about a day ago, thought you might find this info useful:
-----------------

Yes, you can. Go to this site:

http://www.vixy.net

At the main page, paste the codes where it says "URL" (the URL to that particular YouTube video you mentioned).

At the "Converts to" dropdown menu, select "MP3 (audio only)" and then click "Start" to start converting the video.

Here is a screenshot of that page on how to do it:

As for putting that downloaded audio into a CD, you'll need to have a CD burner to do it. Ahead Nero is one of the most common software to do it but if you don't have it, you could always use Windows Media Player to copy the song into the CD.

You can use a freeware program available from www.dvdvideosoft.com which will download the video and extract the audio automatically in MP3 form. Then you have to burn it to a CD with another program.
