yeast infections are like any other infection. there's too much yeast in your vagina. it has nothing to do with having a period. if you sit in bubble bath too long or wear nylon panties you can get a yeast infection, too.

Yeast infection has nothing to do wid periods.Ladies having periods for years can have this infection and have d periods during infection.yeast infection is simply an infection. Male and female both can be the victims of this infection.Apart from contamination, main cause for this infection is lack of personal hygiene.Thongs are one of the main culprits.Another prominent cause for this is consumption of anti biotics for the long term.long term antibiotics kill the useful bacteria also and this gives a fair chance to yeast infection.pls consult your doc. He will prescribe some medicine including pro boitics. Include a lot of home made curd in your daily life. It cures easily and surely.

I agree-it's an infection and nothing to do with hormones or your menstrual cycle. Yeast likes to grow in dark, moist places which is why some women are prone to them. Just make sure you are keeping yourself clean and dry. You can have a yeast infection anytime during your cycle, even when you are currently having your period.

I'm 12 and I have a yeast infection, too. I don't know what it means. If you still have it, try to keep your hair in a ponytail day and night, and put on fungus cream. It really helps, and is sometimes caused because after you take a shower, your hair is still wet and covers your neck so it can't be aired out. (If you had it on your back, that is.)
