I've done hours/days of research and I need something more specific and layed out for me. I don't want to kill any fish in the process.........Please Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no "single" correct method, but these will provide the type of information you're looking for:

Let me add a few more sites to the mix. The first has one of the best forums I've found where beginning aquarists can post questions and get counsel from experienced aquarists on all sorts of issues. They also have articles on fishless cycling, and other issues, and they have profiles for some kinds of fish and plants. The second site also has articles and a forum, but the best thing there is a brilliant interactive fish profiler, where you can input different kinds of fish, find their profiles and compatible species, which enables you to choose fish that will A) get along, and B) appreciate the same water conditions. The third and fourth sites also have good profiles - I would make sure to get profiles from a couple of sources, just because occasionally contributors to these sites can have some details wrong.

The third site has good profiles. I've never ordered fish from them, but their plants are AWESOME, and I know people who've been really happy with their fish orders. And the fourth site, I've ordered plants and shrimp - all arrived in good condition, and I think their plant packages are really nice.

Oh - and invest in a Python - it's the best thing going for cleaning your tank. You can order it, along with just about anything else you can imagine you might need, at the final site. Spend the extra to get the brass fittings for the Python, as the plastic ones will spring leaks after awhile.

Enjoy your tank!

Here is a great article on FishGeeks outlining the steps for setting up a new tank.

Yes tetra.com also helps you. You can sign up and they will send you weekly emails on how and what to do during cycling.
