The play where he ran across the field and got the relay throw on the 1st base line then flipped it to home for the tag.

campfieldd is either a disgruntled Oakland fan, or doesn't know anything about that play. He was out, called out, replays showed he was out. Any good base runner would have slid.

Neither .. he was safe.

edit: I am not a disgruntled A's fan. I have stated on several occasions, even on Yahoo! Answers, that the play was amazing and that Jeter was in a position to make the play close and is probably the only shortstop that would even be in that position. Jeremy Giambi should have slid, but that doesn't mean he should be called out. The ump had a bad angle because the tag was on the back of the leg as Giambi crossed homeplate. It was very close, closer than it should've been because of Jeter, but he was safe.

It was Jeremy Giambi, and no he was not safe. You clearly see Posada tag him when his foot is coming down before it hits the plate.

I saw that game on TV. Jeremy needed to hustle more, seemed to me that he was dogging it, and it did not help that he did not slide into home.

It was Jeremy "I took steroids and I still sucked" Giambi, and not his brother Jason "I took, um, something, and I'm really, er, sorry, for, um, the, ah, stuff that I, uh, took" Giambi.
