There is no best. You cannot judge thousands of songs against each other. The Doors had alot of deep lyrics, though.

Check out some of Led Zeppelin's stuff, particularly the songs on Houses of the Holy.
Also early Aerosmith, particularly the Get Your Wings and Toys in the Attic albums.
And damn near anything by Queen.

My personal favourite based on lyrics is "Living On A Prayer".

My girlfriend was taking a class on Classic Rock in University. Just something to take her mind off of the stressful classes she's taking for her degree.
Her and I spent weeks listening to Stairway to Heaven again and again analyzing the crap out of it. When you just read the words and leave out the cool guitar solo, it's an amazing story of hope. Her professor uses it as a lesson now.
