U.S. Democrats want taxes increased. So why do they ALL take advantage of tax deductions?

Senator Edward Kennedy pays shockingly little on his family's $500 million fortune. He's got teams of accountants keeping his tax bill so low it would appall you.

Democrats like Theresa Heinz Kerry have Billions. Why don't they divest themselves of some of that money? Is it perhaps just a tinge of hypocrisy?

All these people talk a good game, but you dont see them willingly paying taxes. They're looking for every possible tax dodge their accountant can find.

If someone supports the war, why don't they go volunteer, even as a civilian volunteer?

It's the same kind of argument, just as silly.

We have a right to our opinion without putting ourselves in the front lines. We have a right to ask for more taxes for projects to help the U.S. and if someone says, "No" I have the same right to the tax break they are giving themselves.

Truth be told, I don't want higher taxes, I benefited from the tax breaks, I support the war. I may be a democrat, but I don't like paying more than I have to either, and my family escaped Islam some time ago.

ALL taxpayers take advantage of tax deductions, Democrat, Republican, or independent. This has no relevance to lowering or raising taxes. The main push for increase taxes for the last twenty-seven years has been for the Republican side. The only real lowering of taxes during this time came about when a Democrat was in the excutive position.

Democrats are hypocritical flip floppers who can't seem to figure out how to spend money.

Clinton vetoed a tax cut bill when he was in office, a few days later, he approved the budget for a list of studies that included:

$230,000 to study the mating habits of house flies
$27,000 to study why prisoners want to escape prison
$4,000,000 to distribute info on the correct way to cut toenails
$400,000 to find out why Americans don't really like beats

I kid you not, he actually approved the budget for these.

As Bill O'Reilly put it: I will give the government the following information for free:

Houseflies mate when no one is looking
Prisoners don't like prison
Toenails should be cut with a toenail clipper every week
Beets don't taste good

All of that info and not a dime spent.

Democrats need to learn that the raising taxes doesn't do anything, except make the American public mad, except for the democrats who seem to like it when the dems in power spend money on studies to figure out why Americans don't like beets.

There is money out there that is being put into st*pid government programs. If the dems learned how to control their money, taxes wouldn't need to be raised.

your tax money is their money..and they consider their deductions to be a perk..and access to your money..

they complain about their tax dollars when revenues are being spent on things they didn't decide were appropriate..
