"Story of a Soul".. the Autobiography of St. Therese of Lisieux by St. Theresa.
The book is actually written by St. Theresa before her death in 1897 under obedience by her Mother Superior
I have read it so many times. It makes you understand God's Love for us and what He will do for us his Children.
The Saint's great Love for God was so awesome, for it was in the little everyday, ordinary things that she showed her love best and attained Holiness and Sainthood.
Made me stop and think that we too can achieve holiness like St. Theresa, not by doing great things, but by doing small things in a great way... with LOVE.
I try to remember every day, that just by being the best I can be, where ever I am, and doing all the little things in my life with love, I do can make the ordinary, extra-ordinary, like St. Theresa.

In The Shadow of The Ark

It kept popping out at me when I went to the store, like it was saying read me, read me!
So finally I purchased it and read it.
The story was being told by the main character, a young girl of about 13 I think who's father was moving the family to where Noah was building the ark so he could get a job there.
The girl's mother was an invalid and she had to take care of her all the time and on the trip and when they got there.
At that time I was taking care of my mother who was in poor physical health.
The other people in the story asked the girl why she takes care of her mother who is no good to society and the girl said I do it because I remember the way she used to be, a good mother and good person.
It made me look at my situation differently.

Marion Zimmer Bradley's Shattered Chain. It helped me get through my divorce and rethink how I had a different standard for male friends than I did for female friends. So after I changed my thinking, I was able to find a man who is my best friend and soul mate.
