Absolutely no good can come from my answering this question....my mind is so far in the gutter, I am blushing.

I use Aleve quite a bit these days. (Naproxin) It may be effective for you too. Sports creme stimulates blood flow, ice can be soothing. Keep moving gently as this will keep stiffness from setting in. Get a good massage if you know someone with talented hands. Be careful not to let them rub you the wrong way though! Aspercreme ... but only do that following a hot bath or 'shower' where you stand with your lower back in the hot water for several minutes. Also, a good 'massage' will help if you have a 'massage tool' and a friend/spouse who can use it on your lower back ... and next time wear a 'girdle' or 'back brace' because that 'lower back' needs SUPPORT when you are working ...

Biofreeze. It is the most used muscle relaxing gel. Its kinda like icy hot, but much more effective. First it will be cold and it will help numb the pain, then it gets warm and sooths it away. It also has a vapor like property that smells nice.

I'm sorry Billy. I had an answer for you, but since I seem to be sitting in the same gutter with Madam Naka today, maybe I should just second her response. Hope you feel better soon, Sweetness.

Stretch it out Billy Boy. Sounds like you need a good rub down...*wink* Dragons have a really long back...it may take a while.

Be there in 5 mins. *said with a smile*

Advil Motrin and Aleve are good for inflamation and then a warm compress and some time to yourself to stretch out and relax.

Billy, sorry I am late, but moist heat and an anti-inflammatory like Aleve should help. Hope you are feeling better sweetie!

I'd love for someone with magic hands to rub my lower back, and just make the pain go away...it's been killing me for almost a week now. ):
