Yes, it is proudly displayed in my front window. The 48 star flag does not include a star for Alaska and Hawaii, the forty-ninth and fiftieth state, respectively, which I believe were added to the union in 1959.

Yes. I found it at an antique store in mint condition. And yes, it is possible to find them. My uncle has one with 13 stars for the 13 original colonies. It's priceless. And no, my 48-er isn't for sale.
