I am only asking because I saw someone answer a previous question of mine in exactly that way.

I hope not and I hope Hollywood or Boston is attacked.
Another attack seems to be needed to wake up the elitist America haters, terror supporters, and terrorist deniers like (John Edwards bumper-sticker man)

Another terrorist attack will take place in the U.S.A. before the 2008 elections, but it won't "wake up the terrorist-denying America-haters".
It will only serve to further beget more terrorism. And, it's more than likely that this next terrorist attack will be staged, just as the 9-11 attacks were staged. This time, however, it won't be used as an excuse to get us into an unconstitutional, illegal, unjustifiable, immoral 'war' with a country that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the U.S.A. This time it will be used to extend the Bush reign over American politics.
The attack will take place in the Midwest (probably St. Louis or Chicago). Those people who control the government from behind-the-scenes will order Bush to declare martial law, claiming that a change in administration would not be in the best interests of the country. Bush will then invade Iran (if he hasn't already), claiming that the 'terrorists' have hidden weapons of mass destruction in that country.
We will attack Iran for the very same reasons we attacked Iraq: OIL and WAR PROFITEERING. Don't believe we're bringing democracy to the middle east; Bush and Cheney - and their handlers - only want all that OIL swimming underneath all that sand - at any cost in human lives, as long as it's not their lives or the lives of their families. Support our troops by bringing them home NOW. -RKO- 06/30/07

I see where you are going with this, and I don't disagree. I just can't agree with you 100%. If another terrorist attack occured, pointing fingers and the blame game would start taking place, followed by name calling and political bashing.
Americans would become divided because it was "allowed to happen"
What people fail to realize is that terrorist don't care if you are a Democrat or Republican. They don't care if you are white or black, young or old, male or female. All they care about is causing deaths and creating havoc. The media coverage and political fallout will only help their cause.

I hope it doesn't happen. Especially when I think it's going to have the opposite effect.

People will blame Bush, blame each other, and this is exactly what the terrorists want. We won't come together over it any more.

Read some history, let law enforcement do their job, and above all don't let all the oogy boogy attack talk frighten you into relinquishing our country not to the terrorists but to our own would be rulers. Remember, we will not lose our freedom to outsiders but to ourselves, by giving it away a little bit at a time.

I think it will come to this but I hope not, we don't need more people dying on home turf to show the liberals where they are wrong.
