I'm more partial to adoption.

1.) I am way too chicken to give birth to my own children.

2.) Kids who are put up for adoption would have had a bad life had they not been adopted. They would have bounced from foster home to foster home not feeling any real love from a real parent. (biological or adoptive) Kids need to feel loved, and they need a sturdy home to go home to at the end of the day. If they don't feel loved you are setting them up for failure the rest of their lives.

3.) many times the kids are "mistakes." Why can't someone else's mistake be your biggest dream come true?

4.) I don't want to bring another person into the world when i could end a childs suffering, or stop if before it starts.

Absolutlely would.
I have a child and am too old to go through another pregnancy safely. I would love to adopt, but am not in a financial position to be able to. A lot of people say "if I can't have my own". I have to say that the pregnancy doesn't automatically build a stronger bond, it's what happens after the pregnancy that builds your bond with your child. Seeing my freckles across his nose doesn't mean that I would love him more or less than a little person who looks nothing like me or my husband. In fact, I enjoy reminiscing about the pregnancy once in awhile, but there are times when it feels like it happened to someone else. I spoke with a woman who has an adopted child and a biological child - she said that she gave birth to one in the hospital and one in the airport:) I can see how someone would feel that way.

If I had the income to take care of more children than the one I have, I would.. I would love to make a loving home for a child that is up for adoption, however my finances only allow me to take care of my 3.

I like your question.

Yes, I would. I think it is very unfair for children to be without parents in any shape or form. If I wasn't going to give birth to anymore children I would buy a big house in the country and adopt 2-4 children. I would try to be a wonderful parent no matter what choices they made, I would still care. Kids that get placed in homes or foster care, don't deserve to rot there, they need a home, love, learning, and understanding. I would do that because I care, and one cild isn't enough for me.

If I was ever going to have a child, I would adopt.

I believe it is better to pay attention to the kids who are already alive, than to ignore them and bring another person into the world.

It's silly to have kids of your own, because there are poor kids out there who need a home.

The unfortunate children are more important than a person who isn't even alive yet.

When I was younger, thats what I planned on doing....I never planned on having my own. But things changed with me once I was an adult....I had my own, and it changed my feelings about adoption.

I think because theres so much that comes with a child that isnt yours. It can be good, or bad. Im not against it, its just not for me.*

I would adopt a child if I have the means for caring for a kid (or if I can't have my own children).

If I wanted a child, and couldn't have one of my own, I probably would. However, since I've already raised my kids, and I definitely don't want to go there again, it's a moot point.

If I hadn't been able to have a child, sure I would have.

i don't want to sound cruel but i really am looking forward to having my own kids with my fiancee and seeing myself in them. i also believe that i would have a more loving connection with my birthed children. please don't take this the wrong way, though, because I love all children in general.
