As with everything online there are scams and legit ones...My best advice is to find someone who's neutral and will just EDUCATE you on how to find a legit program.
Do NOT succumb to fancy ads and great offers...TALK TO A HUMAN BEING ABOUT IT.
I'm such...lol (as if you didn't suspect)
I will expose you to info that will EDUCATE YOU on the ENTIRE work from home industry. I've got NOTHING to sell to you. The info and training is FREE.
Our team training is based on 30 years experience in the field and we're STILL DOING IT TODAY...that's important. Some coaches teach stuff that they used 400 years ago and succeeded but their current income ONLY comes from the training material they SELL to you today. They're NOT currently building any home business.

There are tons of scams out there but you can find an affiliate job or a direct sales job where you don't have to invest any money. That is what I did with Mineral Girlz. I just signed up did some work and made some money.

There are lots of people who work from home. For the most part, they are either running their own businesses, or working in a field they worked in at a company before that can be done at home - many of these people are working for the company they worked for before in their office.
The "jobs" you find on the internet to take surveys, stuff envelopes, read emails, etc. are basically scams. In some cases you'll get paid small amounts, but won't end up with enough to make up for the time you'll spend, the junk mail you'll get, and in most cases the fee to "join". Or they require you to suck in other people to the scheme, and then you get a portion of their signup fee - this is probably why you see so many glowing comments on this board about the wonderful site a person uses, they're hoping you 'll sign up from their link, then they'll make a couple bucks.
I know three people personally who work from home - one does PR, one does web design, one does editing for a company she worked for in their office before starting to work at home.

I work from home as a Benefits Specialist. I looked for work at home for 3 years before finding this company, and I believe its one of the best ones out there. They currently have about 70,000 people working from home. They also have almost 2 million members on their benefits plan. They allow people to work from home full or part time. They offer 401(k) and direct deposit. Plus you get the benefits for your whole household. http://www.freedomathometeam.com/JBurke

This data entry program is my favorite. They pay you on time everytime by direct deposit just for filling in various company forms for their clients which is in the thousands, so you'll always have work. You can make from $5.00/hr - $25/hr, just depends on the kind of time you have to devote to it. I do it part time and make $300 a day. Just imagine what I or you could do with this if it could be done full time. Check it out, I'm sure you'll love it as much as me. http://mwari23.legitonl.hop.clickbank.net/
These two are also great home businesses with excellent pay and benefits.

There are actually some good companies out there that are not scams. The thing is that they get a bad rap because so many people get in and then don't work it. It all comes down to determination. If you have the determination, you can be successful. I am lucky enough to be affiliated with the best. You can do it to but you have to get out of your comfort zone and go out and do it.
