replacement, maybe none but as a rallying point i think it's henry. france has lots of talented players but none currently has zz's talismanic appeal except for TT....to a lesser degree of course :))

You can not replace Zidane for he is a legend. However you can find players which are close to his level. Henry is not a player that can replace Zidane since each play in a different position. Henry plays center forward while zidane plays attacking midfield. The right person would be in my opinion Nasiri. He is an unknown player who is 18 years old and has on hell of a talent. They say he is the new zidane and considering his age he is. One other player would be his son. Enzo,zidane's son,is still 14 years old but in the way he moves he is his father. It is said that they are the exact copy.We shall need to wait and see which one of these players will grow and become the best because in our current days no one can replace zidane.

No way could you replace Zidane . . . and for those who say Henry could you have to look at one thing . . . their positions. Henry being a striker and Zidane being a midfield player their styles of play are completely different and Henry will never have that intense mentality that Zidane had.

uh hu! NO way. Theres no possible way that any french man, better yet any man that can replace a legend like Zidane. He was unique in all his plays!

Simply, no. With Zizou its about the heart as well, and I don't see players doing that. Perhaps one day someone will come along with all the mastery, grace and ability but you can't replace a legend or how they changed the game and face of football for their nation or the world.

no one can replace Zidane. but the one player who will come close to Zidane is Ribery

France have recognised stars in every position, look at Ribery, he is quick & can torment any defence.
Look at Gourcuff, he is young & was a vital part in AC Milan's march to this year's CL final.
Look at Anthony Le Tallec, he is young, quick & dangerous & is not just a striker, he can play in midfield as well as forward.
All of the above fit the slot for the nominee of Zidane & in France the slot never remain vacant for a long period.

I don't really think so....
Maybe Henry will shine more in Barca...then he can show himself like zidane one day....but Zidane is someone else....really special...
