In the Northern hemisphere water goes down the plug-hole clockwise and anti-clockwise in the Southern hemisphere. What would happen if you emptied the sink exactly on the equator?

North and south hemisphere water drains is a myth. The thought comes from hurricanes which really are effected by the earth's rotation, but not something as small as a sink. I like your question though.

You have to have a lot of wind or water for a long time for the Coriolis force to have any effect. Its just not strong enough on small scale, quick things like sinks or toilets. Toilets and sinks drain in the directions they do because of the way water is directed into them or pulled from them. The shape of the sink or the toilet and how level it is has more to do with how the water flows than the Coriolis effect.

Depending on the accurate degree of placing the sink then you'll either clockwise or anticlockwise - but if it was dead accurate then wouldn' it just sink instead of rotating?
E.G. a large hole in a bucket of water, it would just simply pour down
