to say the least, he's been a sorry president

Like most men who have been President (with the exception I think only of Nixon) he is a man who loves his country. However is in over his head and his abilities. He takes advice from the wrong people and does not seem to be able at any point to change his course once he is set on it. That is a fatal mistake on the part of a President.

He does not seem to be able to correct himself because he seems blind to the fact that he can make an error. It has made him one of the worst President's in history. At heart however I think he is a good man. Again as most Presidents have been. We sell the men who have held that office short when we do not see that they are in the hardest job in the world and that it is the rare man who can do it at all, let alone do it well

George W. Bush will go down in history as America's very worst President (so far). He is completely incompetent, bull-headed, stubborn, foolish, blood-thirsty and arrogant. A spoiled rich kid who would never had been elected dog catcher without the help of his family's money, power and influence, Bush is a worthless leader, a terrible manager, and a visionless politician. -RKO- 06/30/07

I don't watch much television. I haven't jumped on any bandwagon regarding Bush.

I support our President, because he is our president. And our nation is at war. And I am an American first.

As far as what I think about each decision he makes, and each word that he mis-speaks, that does not change my position.

I believe that if he has done wrong, he will not go unpunished. And I think it can wait. Our nation's business needs to come first. Impeaching Bush does not get us out of Iraq, does it?

He is our president. He has been steady and committed to his visions for our country. The polls are absurd because most people don't have the intelligence to differentiate between things a President can control and things which they cannot - take for example fuel prices. The President cannot control this, if we pass legislation mandating otherwise, then we are Communists or Socialists. Most people responding to polls do not take this into consideration. We as a society are being stupified and it is a shame. He is a fine man and my President.

Of the options made available (Gore, Kerry, Dean, etc..) he was and still is the best. Sadly, I still see him as being a card board cut out of his father who tried to carry on Reagan's vision. It worked. So, why was Reagan looked upon as "the Man?" As compared to Johnson, Nixon, Ford and Carter, he was "it." I am still in that quoted 30%. I feel great about that knowing that you all LOVED Adolf Hitler and made him "Man of The Year" for Time Magazine. You hated Lincoln and couldn't have cared less about either saving the union or freeing the slaves. I also take pleasure in knowing that Boothe was a democrat and that it was the democrats (sore losers of the south) that founded the KKK. I know that the republican's record is not spotless or blameless, but when compared to that of their counter parts (the DNC), they really do come away looking fantastic. Just want to say, "Thank you." Without the democrats, we'd be forced to look at ourselves for once.

The same thing I think about the war in Iraq: a never-ending nightmare that continues to get worse. His handling of Katrina, and his dubious human rights policies (suspension of Habeas corpus, secret trials, acting as an apologist for torture, illegal wire-tapping), his inability and/or unwillingness to differentiate between perseverance and outright stubbornness have all spelled disaster.

I did not take a poll, I am a democrat who supports him, not for intelligence, nor compassion. He is determined, and committed to a vision. His strength to stand up to congress makes them weak, which makes him a strong leader, a successful leader we will have to see
