Okay, I really want to know what people think on this issue.
Between Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and Budhists (if you want to add a religion feel free to)
which has contributed the most to civilization, and then which has hurt society the most.

of course most here are going to say xianity contributed the most..cuz most on the board are xians

I would suggest it is Jewish as it is among the oldest of the modern religions followed by Hindu out of which came Buddhism. The youngest of those religions are Christianity and finally Islam the youngest of the bunch. Each has made significant contributions to civilization. Judism is the basis for modern western monotheism while Hinduism is the basis for much of the Eastern religion.

It's atheists and agnostics that have contributed the most to civilization. The religious have always been a drag against social change.

The only difference I see between religions and cults. Cults collect guns, religions collect money and they both spread intolerance.
