Personally I don't care about Becks. I don't really watch MLS. I watch the EPL or La Liga. If I do, I don't watch the LA Galaxy. I usually watch either Houston or DC United. Anyway, I think it will probably bring more people to the soccer matches. Will it make people start playing soccer more? I don't know. I do think Becks is a little over rated right now.

americans dont like a sport where you play all day and you get 2?
its the exact same thing as 14 in football
the goals are 1 point not 7
same as you score 2 times

I think its too early for him to move for an American experience. I do think he needs to play in USA but I really think the world of football have just lost one of the greatest football player

Yuck, no. He's a wife-cheater and a twerp. I don't think it will help soccer. Americans just don't like a sport where you play all day for a score of 2.

will do good for MLS and soccer in the US. becks' enormous popularity will raise the profile of the game and hopefully more will take interest.
plus, it will keep the tills ringing.

Its good to see someone of his worldwide reputation to come to the USA...
But remember...he isn't the type of player that will dominate games for you.....Americans look up to these type of players....like your Jordan's , Lebron James....Payton Manning....LT......A-Rod.....etc....
These players have the ability to dominate.....Beckham will not.....despite his great passing....and dead ball expertise....and a good sense of the game....
You won't see him going one on one that much.....his defense never has been great...doesn't tackle...etc...
So i think on that standpoint it may hurt him......
None the less...he his becks....Unfortunately....I live in NYC and it appears he may miss that game due to International Duty.....I think he is expected to miss quite a few games for the Galaxy to go play for England....
