You can definitely bring in small coolers of beer or whatever you'd like to drink or brownbag beer and food into the Indy 500. For other races I would suggest calling the local track or going to their website for any restrictions. Also Indycar.com has some fan messageboards that can be helpful for getting tips and information on upcoming races. Also according to the Richmond INTL raceway website, small coolers will be allowed at the race this weekend.
Also cans are allowed at Indy but not glass bottles.

In Nashville, you can bring in a small cooler with beer as long as it fits inside this wooden frame. I would check the track you are visiting though.

Depends on the track. I know for sure Texas, IMS and Kansas (Kansas just started this in 2007) outside alcohol is allowed. Each track is different. Good luck.

yes you can but there is a limit to the size of the cooler. If the cooler is too big they will make you leave it at the gate or you have to take it back to your car. Also they prohibit glass containers of any kind.
Check out their website for more information
