I prefer magazines because they are both informative and very entertaining.

For the daily headlines to know what's going on in this world, definitely newspapers.
For some entertainment, and reading beyond what we see in newspapers.. I like to sit down and flip through a magazine.

I prefer newspaper. Newspapers nowadays are entertainig too. It just lacks the durability,unlike magazines because it lasts longer. But if you are keen enough, you might start a newspaper clipping of your own on articles which appeal to you the most.

I guess if I had to pick one, I would go with newspapers. They give me a wide range of information and are obviously topical and timely.
If something makes me curious, then I can move into a magazine for more information on a specific issue. (For example, I read Runners' World for more information on running.)
Both are pretty close to indispensible.

Depends on type of news. daily newspapers will have the most recent news and relevant to an area. Magazines usually most in depth news.

it is a interesting question..
To me, i will prefer newspapers because they are very informative.On the contrary, magazines are not informative enough for me to understand the globalized world economy.
