Some do believe this. Since they had an alliance with the Phoenicians and there are some that believe they made it to America, it would be possible. I want to see more evidence before I will believe this. There are some who believe that the Phoenicians even made it to the interior of North America. There are some things that have been dug up in Iowa that resemble both Hebrew and Phoenician symbols. I do not think that Solomon launced the fleet, but rather that part of the Hebrew fleet was with the Phoenician fleet that sailed to the Americas. There is suppose some proof that they were in Brazil too. I really do need to see more proof before I can say that it were true.

Anything is possible and history is written by the victors. America was not discovered by Marco Polo. Americas was an inhabited land with American-Indians they are the indigenous people of the land. Sea Trade has been going on for a few thousand years people would have travelled and traded with the Americas and it was discovered way before the 1700's.

Tyre & Sidon were on the coast of Lebanon. The queen of Sheba probably came from Ethiopia in Africa. Never heard of any evidence that sailing crossed the Atlantic at that early age. Some travelers may have blown off course and landed in the Americas but Evidence is not conclusive.
