Heres the deal...in high school i broke my parents trust and then gained it back....my mom was like in college u will have many more freedoms...like having lunch w guy friends...so the other day i had lunch w one and my mom was like i dont think thats a good idea...the other thing is im muslim and dont date outside the religion and thats how i broke her trust but personally i dont want to do that anymore ...so why wont she let me hang w guys in a public place surrounded by100's of people? What do i do? I dont want to have to sneak and lie just so i can hang out with friends...and i want to be honest with her..i mean this is college for goodness sakes ....i dont go to parties bc they're all about drinking and things i just dont do...so now i cant have an innocent lunch ? HELP!!!

If you want more freedom from your parents rules, you'll have to give up your parents' money. When you can pay your own way, you can make your own rules.

its your relition and that i can't help you with i dont' knw much about it but its nice girls that dont' do alot of things but lunch can be fine but if you associate with non muslin people chances are you will end up with one so be careful that is what shes owrried about.

i would sit down with ur mom and talk like an adult. tell her everything ur feeling and let her listen. if she dosnt then u gotta do what makes u happy.
