OMG! I Just Found Out My Teen Aged Rocker is really a man!
I told him to make sure his girlfriend put sunscreen on him and his chuckle just blew me away!

Parents, when did you realize your teenager was really a mini grown up?

I did just today, about 5 minutes ago to be exact.

Good grief, a little more of my hair just fell out.

Little Sweetie has made a habit since she was a wee sprat of climbing out of the tub and flouncing down the hall to her room buck naked. I was the one who decided it was time for a bra.

Sweetie asked me if it was really that noticeable. I replied, "I'm the last man on earth who wants to notice, and yes."

not mine, don't have any; but I realized the ones I helped raise were pretty well grown up when they weren't at home most of the time, and their "real" parents said they'd got their own places. Up til then, they acted pretty childish. One still does. His daddy has to drive 12 miles at 4 a.m. to make sure he gets up for work, since his (the kid's) wife won't take that responsibility. She does, however, spend the money as fast as it comes in.

When my daughter came back from the hair salon with a grown up haircut, I realized that she was becoming a teen, instead of a littel girl.

My son? I'm still waiting for that

my mom realized that I was a mini grown up when I was 16. We went shopping together and I received a lot of attention from men and it hit her that I was no longer a little girl.

Scares you to death, dosen't it? One day they are a normal kid and the next the "man" shows it's face. I think I realized mine was when his body hair was so thick you could hardly see his skinny legs when he wore shorts and you could braid the hair on his back. I am embellishing some here. Also the girls were always present around him.

Mine are 8(son) and 9(daughter) and I took my daughter to buy training bras last weekend. I think I was in a daze all day. When did all this happen? lol, just yesterday I was changing her diaper.

they'll always be my babies in my mind, but it is strange to see an adult looking back at you. Why is it when you're young, everyone and everything reminds us that we're not "old", and when we're finally old, it all reminds us that we're not young anymore.
