A fire - symbol of the home (hearth). Symbol of cooking - camp fire, roasting marshmallows etc or hunting and cooking ur meal. Destruction - grass fire, house fire. arson.
Someone's home/livelihood going up in flames. Old English proverb:" Fire is a good servant but a bad master."
Fire as the symbol of God's presence - Moses & the burning bush; the pillar of fire that guided the Israelites in the desert; tongues of fire that showed the coming of the Holy Spirit.
Hope this helps.
