It is used in a lot of sci-fi films such as alians and star trek.
Need help beginning to bother me.
Taking mars and making it into another earth that sort of thing.

Terraforming. There are two possible methods:

Build an enclosed atmosphere - a dome. Then fill this with air. This is quick, but relatively fragile, and requires constant maintenance.

The second method takes rather longer. It requires the establishment of a water cycle so that plants can grow and create a sustainable atmosphere that is not subject to the risk of sudden leakage.

As said above, it is terraforming.
But do you know that NASA has a project to terraform Mars, using first the under-globe method (biosphere), but expand the program later with global terraforming.
The first stage would take a few years.
The second a little over two hundred years....
Wish I'd be there...

Its Terraforming.
One possible idea of terraforming mars is to do the opposite of what we are doing to earth.
If there was a lot of carbon dioxide pumped into the mars atmosphere it would kick start its own atmosphere with oxygen etc.
Alternatively watch Total recall and melt the ice.......
