I doubt it; you're simply going as fast as the machine is currently capable..

No, full throttle will not hurt the engine. The engine restrictions prevent the engine getting any where near where damage will happen.

P.S. Sorry to hear about your friend, Mark B.

Running a 2 stroke engine flat out for more than a few minutes is inadvisable, especially if the lubrication is provided by petroil (i.e. a petrol and oil mix). It is helpful (to the engine) if you close the throttle every few minutes for a couple of seconds. This allows some cooler oil to lubricate the cylinder bore and reduce the possibility of the engine siezing.

No. You can open the throttle as far as you like, the engine won't turn over any faster than it's been restricted to, and no, you won't damage it.

there is no other way than doing so if you ever want to reach where you want to go. Back in the old days we know only two throttle positions with these mopeds:
zero and full ;-)

My opinion would be to look at the condition of the spark plug ( oil fouled, wet with fuel ? ), cleaning a carb is quite tricky and hopefully you put a new needle and seat in it and rebuilt it properly. A compression test wouldn't hurt either. Good Luck

yes it would.Any machine running at full throttle will get damaged as it is exterted to the maximum and gets too hot .People who drive long journeys would never drive at full speed all the way as the engine would eventually strain and conk out
