It's a old console now, especially since Nintendo Gamecube and Nintendo Wii came out. Get the Wii and you would be able to download Nintendo 64 games. :)

Ah, Nintendo 64.... yeah, it was great! Multi-player action-y. But, Nintendo had new ideas, and the N64 couldn't support them, so they came out with new stuff.
Try to think of it as... the Nintendo 64 had a sexy baby. It's name is Gamecube.
Then, Gamecube grew up, and it's baby was even sexier.
It's called the Wii, Nintendo's newest bundle of joy.
Nintendo 64 was great back then. But now, it's like... um, the same games, same fun level, only they look MUCH better :).
Of course, the 64 was really important to nintendo :O. Just time to move on, and make more sexy babies.

Why did we stop selling Nintento 64?
Because we're in the 21st century now.
You can still keep yours and play it to your hearts content.
