I have searched online for this, but apparently, found out that it wasn't what my professor was looking for. One of which apparently was RESEARCH DESIGN. Perhaps, I have not looked further, so can you please help me? Thanks!

In an introduction, you should explain the overall significance of the problem, establish the context (brief review of literature essentially), and explain what your paper will contribute (maybe this is the "research design" section -- although that seems more appropriate for social sciences or humanities research).
