It makes videos almost impossible to watch/listen to. I'm in a foreign country, and I really want to watch some videos in English!

This is very very very simple to correct. 9 times out of 10 this will mainly happen on the longer video files because they have to buffer (or load basically) now depending on your internet connection this will either happen alot (Buffer slowly) Or not often (Buffer quickly ). Now for the solution to the problem. All you have to do is pause the video because it will then continue to buffer. Once it has fully buffered just click play and i can 100% promise you that it will be working and it will not pause to buffer any more during that video. But as i said depending on speed of connection and size+length of the video file this could either be a quick job or a slow boring patience testing job. Hope I Have Helped!

It is called "buffering", the reason for this are:

1. You got a slow internet connection.
2. YouTube is experiencing some traffic.
3. The video you are watching is too big.
4. Your Internet Service Provider (ISP's) encounters some traffic.

Maybe try the latest version of Adobe Falsh Player? --> http://j.mp/1p3PxNe
You need to have the last version of Adobe Flash Player to be able to watch videos online.

That is usually caused by a slow internet connection. Not much you can do except to get a fast broadband connection.

Hi,
Pause it and wait a few minuts.
Your computer has to download the movie before it is able to play it...
