Lately under the Republicans its been a mutual admiration society, possibly because they are the axis of evil true terror exporters. Ron Paul called money when he said our polices are the reason we were attacked.

Most of the US Gov't supports Israel because it's the only sane and westernized Country, Gov't, and People in the Middle East. The last foot hold of sanity in the whole region.
I also agree with the first 2 guys, that there's something fishy about the whole thing. But I don't think and hope it's not so pronounced as everyone makes it out to be.

The US supports some things that Israel might do, and doesn't support some other things that Israel might do. If the Israelis want our support, they'll do the things that we'd support. You could call that instructions, but I wouldn't. They're free to disagree if they want to.
