The kind I found once had a french name and it was scented with lemon verbania. It was wonderful and I haven't seen it since.

artlogical that is a great idea, I'd try to make it myself too, but will oil scents mix well and be OK for clothes? I'll try some first on old muslin to be safe.

I only used distilled water for ironing clothes.

I have not heard of this before, but find the concept wonderful. I'm bound to start this myself.

My first thought was, "Why not make it yourself?" That's what I plan to do.

I think the suggestion of alway using distilled water is a great idea. Without scenting even, it's bound to improve the longevity of the fabric, and remove any strange odors due to minerals or chemicals in the tap water. But now I'm thinking of adding a scented oil to a spritz bottle of distilled water. The aroma possibilities become endless - lemon verbania, vanilla rose, sandalwood, patchouli, etc...

It's bound to save a bit of money, and time and energy searching for the product and getting delivery. (Scented oils are available almost anywhere.) Of course, you could be even more frugal, and make your own scented oil to use. (Or even, if you have the time, follow that procedure to scent the water, and skip the mixing step.)

I make my own by using plain water and a little Downy Clean Breeze or the lavender & vanilla kind. Makes your clothes smell so fresh. Basically use your favorite fabric softner & plain water. Good luck. 2D
