The thing with Ian Thorpe is he's an intellectual. He speaks like an intellectual and his gesture are those of an intellectual. If you see proper full on gay guys like Carson from Queer Eye, Ian Thorpe isn't the slightest bit like them. The trouble is Australian's wouldn't know an intellectual if one came up and *****-slapped them witht the complete works of Geoffery Chaucer. So sadly Ian bares the brunt of this ignorance!
