Eat less salt. That is do not add salt to your food and eat foods with little or no salt at all. There is a juice calle Passion Fruit Juice. This is a natural to reduce blood pressure, 1 to 3 glasses a day. Garlic is another way, but keeping your breath free of garlic is not easy. But, there are pills with garlic that are tasteless. Avoid hard exercises. My doctor of internal medicine told me that many people do exercises and constantly run. What is happening is that you are over doing your heart. If you jogg or run, a few blocks is good, but walking is better, do not sit all day. Get up walk, move and when at the job if it is a desk job, avoid too much coffee and/or caffein because this accelerates the heart and then the heart has to pump faster than what it is supposed to. A normal BP is 120 over 80. Some persons vary. My husband BP is 90 over 50. This is normal for him. Now I take 2 types of medication for my high bloodpressure because of my past eating which over the years caught up to me. So, take care now to avoid future problems.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

Hypertension is a condition caused by an increase in the blood pressure. As the blood flows through blood vessels in the human body, it exerts pressure against the walls of the vessels. As the heart contracts in its cycle of pumping blood, blood pressure reaches its highest level. This is called systolic blood pressure. The blood pressure reaches its lowest point when the heart is at rest or is released. This is called diastolic blood pressure. Normal blood pressure is around 120/80 mm of Hg (Mercury) for a healthy person. There is no safe limit beyond normal. Any value other than normal should be a reason for taking care.

If continuously, the systolic and diastolic pressure excelled the limit of 140/90, a human being is said to have high blood pressure. He needs medical care values higher than 160/95 are placed in the danger zone.

High Blood Pressure is serious, and if you don't have the discipline to follow a strict diet with exercise, then you have to work with your doctor. Even so, some methods don't work for everyone.

Try:
1. Walk 45 minutes in the morning and evening... jogging may be a little better.
2. Reduce salt, increase water, don't drink anything with sugar or artificial sweeteners. a little Fruit sweetners are OK
3. Look up the DASH diet and the Pritikin Diet...people have had success with both...

Believe it or not, a fresh clove of garlic every day helps bring down blood pressure. Celery also helps reduce blood pressure and so does grape juice.
You can also make an herbal mixture of equal parts hawthorn berries, yarrow, and limeflower.
It is also important to get rid of excess fluid from your body. To do this, during the spring and summer, eat plenty of fresh dandelion leaves in salads. It is a good diuretic and has the added benefit of being rich in potassium.
Hope this info is beneficial to you.
