Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the back of your Home Desktop PC. Plug that cable into the Ethernet port of your laptop.

According to the specifications for your router, you should be able to connect both your desktop PC and your laptop to the router. If your desktop PC is connected to the router by the ethernet cable, the router should have also come with a USB cable. If you have this cable, connect one end to the router's USB port near the ethernet connector, and the other end to your laptop. There might be some more adjustments you might need to make, consult your owners manual regarding connectivity via USB port.

Read The Friendly Manual (RTFM) for your Router, the step by step is there.
