Well, first of all beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is often bestowed upon us genetically, whereas we can aspire to intelligence through hard work. Beauty fades with time, but intellect can be improved with time (you can always learn new things).
It is hard to keep up your beauty in a disaster, but intelligence can help you survive.
You can use intelligence to turn a sow's ear into something that looks like a silk purse. Some might say that beauty dazzles that people think you are intelligent, when actually they don't care if you are intelligent or not.
The one negative thing about intelligence is that most people choose beauty over intelligence, unless they can't solve a problem.
Intelligent people look more attractive over time as people come to know them, but beautiful people with little to offer intellectually lose their attractiveness, at least among fairly intelligent people.

Brains are good. You can make just about any face beautiful with some hair spray or makeup or plastic surgery etc. Brains are a lot harder to make.
Besides, would you want a smart person to be your partner in life, or a job, or a debate, or a silly airheaded but pretty person?
Being beautiful is not that useful without some intelligence too.

I would choose brains...
choosing brains means that they have an opinion, and can challenge your opinion--i don't always like to be right, because i want to see if there is a better answer--being a 'brain' is beautiful, but internal beauty...a beauty within that is full of knowledge, wisdom, passion, and a lust for life and learning...
on the other hand, 'beauty' is nothing more than a lust for youth, and admirance((is that a word?))...though, with deep thinking 'brains' can be admired too.
brains = deep as a bottomless pit ((cliche))
beauty = shallow as a shower
Beauty can't last forever, but Knowledge lasts forever

Beauty is only skin deep.
This isn't my argument, I think it's too shallow,
but if outer beauty is what you are after, you probably think that beauty can be bought, and brains earn more money, to make themselves more beautiful.
The stuff that matters is the stuff that lasts. Beauty doesn't last. Intelligence doesn't leave you, until you do something so unintelligent as to hit your head and lose your intellect.
Then you have neither brains nor beauty. Just bruises.

-Beauty isn't forever....
-what's a pretty face if you can't have any deeper meaning in a relationship?
-if you couldn't truly talk or relate to one another- it would be lust. not love. (not that there can't be lust IN love sometimes but that's only good if the love is there during and after the lust is sated.)
-if those are your intentions (beauty first) how do you know that they arent' the other persons as well?
-you could look at the person and *know* you love them- not just "see" it....
ok that was actually more reasoning against choosing beauty over brains- but you can flip them around ;)

beauty can be very superficial, you could buy stuffs to camouflage or even have a good makeover but brain is the mastermind. If you don't have it, it is like the common saying....a beauty without brains. And which would most people prefer??
A beauty which can't even carry a simple conversation or the one with the brains who charms with her intellects and smart to outshine herself with her beautiful self too.

ummm..hmmm...tough. They would proably have to have both, but....Beauty fades, brains are there forever. And, the guy/girl with brains and no beauty will have BOTH one day and they will be perfect. Brains also gets you further in life. ummm, and I'd like to be able to have an intelligant convo w/ someone and beauty couldnt do it.

bimbos bore me out after a while if they have nothing intelligent to say. The very looks become like an extra baggage for the true man would care to ignore it when there is nothing else to complement the dullness. An intelligent girl always keeps you engaged with subtle communications and seems more agreeable in the long run.

well brains are great when you want to have more out of a relationship than bomb sex with a pretty women, but its not that satisfying when you don't want to look at the person your having sex with, on the other hand being with an ugly women with brains you would be better off in a few ways, 1. she will not cheat, 2. she would keep your finances in order, 3. she probably cooks great, other than that i don't know why someone would pick looks over brains.

Beauty with no brain is just high maintenance!
