When I mop the floor it always leaves water spots. I use vinegar (1 cup) and water (1 gal.) to mop with. Can anyone tell me how to mop these floors? By the way, they are Brazilian Red Wood floors.

The best bet is not to use anything. I would dry mop them, do a spot check for spots. If you insist on using something, then use a very light damp mop. Using water.

Most floor manufactures suggest not to use any type of liquid on wood floors.

Vinegar and water is the right thing to use, but it sounds like your mop is too wet. Put the vinegar and water in a spray bottle, spray a small area, and use a damp mop. Continue cleaning small areas until the floor is clean.

When I had wood floors I used end dust, sprayed it on the dust mop, and the floors looked great. Never spotted. Don't use water and vinegar, save that for vinyl floors.

You should not be using vinegar or water on hardwood. You should be using hardwood floor polish and a flat micro fibre mop.

Probably best to run over floor with a dry mop (chamois) after washing, will take away water spots.

I don't agree with using vinegar on wood. It tends to dull the wood, which in turn will make it lose it's luster. I use only Murphy's oil soap and water to mop my hardwood. Cleans beautifully, smells wonderful, and leaves a great shine. It treats the wood as well as cleans! Just one mom's opinion! :)
