I could drive but gas will cost about 700.00 to get there and back, or I could fly there (400.00) and rent a Uhaul and bring it back. There's got to be a cheaper way! Please help!

If it's under about 3'x4', you could ship UPS ground (check with UPS for actual maximum size). Otherwise contact a freight broker. But that's all dependent on having someone in Montana who will pack/crate the piece and get it to the shipper.

If you're uncertain of dealing with the details of packing/shipping, check the online YellowPages for antique dealers in the nearest large town to where the piece is located, and ask them what they do about shipping.

If you don't have anyone there to handle packing the piece and getting to a shipper, I'd bet that with a couple calls, you could find a shop that will pick up the piece, crate it, and arrange for shipping.

If you google "shipping antiques furniture", you'll find companies specializing in crating/shipping antiques. The problem is, you may have a hard time finding service in Montana.

Have them ship it either Air freight or UPS ground. Ups is the cheapest way hands down. Call them or check their web site.

Did you just purchase this or is it a personal item?
