Somehow there is a program that redirects IE on launch to a search page from Overture and HP. Using the Internet options does not help: I can change it to somehing else but the next relaunch takes us back to the Overture page. Can't find any toolbars and I don't run yahoo toobar or google toolbar. Any help?

*Manage Add-ons
*Search for any kind of addon name like "overture"
*Disable
*Apply and Ok
*Restart IE if needed

Downlad free version of Adaware, install and run. Allow it to complete so it can remove the registry entries which hi-jacked your browser.
Important! Verify your browser security settings do not allow unprompted install of software from web sites.

Just use any of the spyware remover programs like malwarebytes and spyware doctor.both are free and run a deep scan.......u can also use kaspersky internet security or emsisoft anti malware......emsisoft is really good....if nothing helps then just format your c drive and install the windows again:))
