Get your phone unlocked at any store offering this service. They are everywhere in London. However if you purchased your phone as a Vodafone phone, you might have problems with some 02 services (especially web services and e-mail)

Try phoning Vodafone customer services. They will probably charge you around £30 for unlocking your phone. On the other hand, depending on your phone you could get it done in one of those high street or market stalls for between £10-20

from an official line

it is 19.99 for a network unlock code and if your phone is still in contract you will be charged. If you phone customer services they will check if its not in the database it can be requested from the manufacturer normally a few days depending on the manufacturer
