what i would do is get off work for a day
and go home and pray. what you need is
time for yourself to reflect and analyze whatever
problems you have. remember what does not kill
you only makes you stronger.
p.s. this might be a divine test and GOD is only
testing your strength of character and your
courage with which you confront your everyday
problems. read the bible or (ir your not religious)
do something else that makes you forget the days
tribulation. The following poem might help.
"Footprints"
One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
Each scene, he notices two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him , and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.
The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." Author unknown
I hope GOD can bless you and lighten your problems and
feel free to email me if you need to talk to someone

It is like you are reading my mind. I usually cry out to God. I ask why, and then ask for help. What I find is I usually gain perspective on the matter. I find I am usually wallowing in self-pity over things that I have blown up to be worse than they are. I suffer from depression and it usually takes something very small to trigger the same feelings you describe. Once I have perspective I slowly come around and can breath easily again. Some times are worse that others. It is kind of like riding the storm out in a boat. You can't all ways know how long the storm will last. If I were you I would seek a professional opinion if you haven't all ready. I was on medication that helped me, but I made the decision to stop taking it. Good luck, I hope everything works out.

You have to go home sometime. Let yourself have a good old fashion cry. Then pick yourself up dust yourself off and get on with your life. It may be hard but you can do it. As time goes by, it will get easier and easier to make it thru a day without feeling blah and sad... Prayers also help alot, as well as friends.

I truly am sorry you're feeling this way. It would have been nice if you could have taken a day off work. But sometimes work works wonders in keeping the mind distracted. Remember when things have become so bad, they can only get better :)

While you're sat at your computer, Google or Yahoo Rudyard kipling.
Find an online copy of his poem 'If'.
Print it off and take it folded up in your pocket or purse.
Get it out and read it to yourself when you feel really crap.
There's some sort of magic there.
when my youngest daughter was just three, she would make me stop on the way out of our lounge as I took her to bed, and she would get me to read it to her every night.
Don't ask me why, perhaps it was a delaying tactic. The fact that it's engraved on copper-plate in a frame?
Maybe she just saw the magic herself?
Give it a try. It works.
Pete.

Man! it sounds as you need to quit your job and find a lover!
Move to the country.. and become a gardener.. change your life girl!
PS. reading about you: " Artist (painter), poet, dancer, singer/songwriter, guitarist, photographer, insomniac, deep thinker, passionate person. Live to create. Love cats. A hopeless romantic with a cynical side...An optimistic pessimist." there is so much creative energy in you! you must find the way to free yourself! or you will go nuts!.
