It's ok, but I think one has to be very careful. I think if the husband wants to have a female friend, he has to do it in such a way that everything is very open and above the table.

Some ground rules.

1. Wife has access to any e-mails sent between the two of them (assuming this is even allowed).

2. Wife is invited to go be with them whenever they are together.

3. Discussion about the wife is off limits between the husband and female friend.

Ultimately, these ground rules may ruin the friendship of the husband and friend, but they are probably necessary to insure that the friendship remains platonic.

Tell ya the truth.
If a guy has a female friend.
Theres a good chance they had something going on in the past, or he has alot of interest in her, beyond friendship

It's your call, but me being a guy.. I would enjoy having a female friend to hang out with! but the wifey says

" No Freaking way, are you nuts! you'll be all over her after every touch down feeling up her breast and smacking her on the butt after every play " " next you'll want a 3some with her " No freaking way"

and she's right!

I will put it this way.....my "husband" had a female friend, they worked together and he knew her husband very well....well, long story short, they ended up having an affair and then found out that she was having his kid. So, my thoughts on this is yes, but not if they work together or can be together alone......only if you are around. Women, like men, can be under-handed. Needless to say, my and my "husband" are no longer living together...we have lived apart for 3 years now...oh and yes, we have 3 kids together.

yes it's okay for your husband to have a femalee friends, just like us having a male friends. Not because we are married,it does not mean that we can't have friends anymore,no matter if it's femal or male. But if your husband's female friend is becoming more than a friend, then you can tell him to stop...

I have so many friends (male - female) what is the problem?
If you ask this question here on Yahoo (public) there are two
possible reasons for this:
1. You are not sure about the feelings (love for you) of your husband.
2. You nerver learned to trust him. Why?

Well of course its ok to have friends who are the opposite sex. I do and my husband does and so does any married couples that I know personally.

If he has a close female friend it won't be long before they're having sex. Most men, sadly, cannot be "just friends" with a woman. Any honest man will admit that much

Friend yes, lover no.
As long as he recognises and accepts the boundary there should be no problem.
Before you married did he have sex with all of his female friends? If the answer is no it proves that friendship does not have to lead to sex.

lol, but this is a very good question, I just had this topic with my husband, I am not really jelous, but he has a out of town, job, so we both got to put trust in each other, I am like some of them, I feel if your gonna have the opposite sex friend, you ought to know them, meet them, speak to them, I feel, that also like someone women are shady with married men, and you can not trust them, they like to destruct to get there hands on them, and like someone said I think if your going to have opposite sex friends you ought to be able to share your conversations like versa email etc,
