From my understanding its all enclosed public spaces or work places does this include parks. Or is there an issue with the "space" needing a roof to make it enclosed??

Also will the ban include the outside of restuarants/pubs? Because surely these are part of the work place ie waiting staff bring food out etc. What about park keepers they work at the park

We have the ban in Scotland for a while and no it doesn't include parks, it is public enclosed places, like bus shelters, shopping centres. Don't make the mistake a lot of people is Scotland are making by dropping your cigarette end on the street as it will be an £80 instant fine, especially outside shopping centres and hospitals.

yes space means an enclosed space. we have the smoking ban in Ireland for the last few years. and even most pubs put up smoking rooms or shelters with enough ventilation to make it legal to smoke. so even though a roof may be present there mite be a wall missing which is allowed in the guidelines.

Smoking in parks will be allowed, as its not an enclosed space, its the same as smokers being allowed to smoke in the street.

The ban basically covers enclosed areas, where the smoke will be trapped and people will have no choice but to breathe it in. Outside, people can just move away if they don't like people smoking near them.

The tobacco Nazi's are here in the U.S. too. Here these do-nothings whine and say, "its for our children" (memo: find another excuse) so they get smoking banned everywhere. Pretty soon you're not going to be able to light up while taking a dump!

And I don't use tobacco!

i wouldhave thought that they were part of the ban as they are a public place. i think smoking should be made illegal anyway.
