Set bowls of vinegar around the house. The vinegar will absorb the smoke odors. For immediate relief, soak a towel in vinegar and walk throughout the house, swinging the towel around (yes...it sounds funny but it REALLY works!)

I am a smoker and to keep the house smelling like smoke, I get theses wooden type plants that actually absorb the odor. Thay come in several colors and need to be replaced once a month. You can get them at any art supply center. To start the process, open the front room up, windows and doors.

Put a`pot on the stove with water and vinegar. Let the water boil, then turn down the heat and leave to simmer . Just remember to top of the water every now and then. This will rid the smell of smoke all around the house

Theres no point in me saying stop smoking! So, open all windows for a while. If you can get to a shop that sells incense sticks use them. OR,
Is your front room near your kitchen? If so, get some vinegar and water in a pan. Bring to boil and simmer for about 20 mins. Do this with all the doors open of course! It will smell strong for a while, but will go.Vinegar has lots of wonderful uses.
HOPE THIS HELPS.

If you have a perculator you could keep coffee on the boil. It smells good and does as effective a job as any air freshener.
Leave the windows open . . .

If you don't want people to smoke in your front room because of the smell, don't let them, its your place I presume. But until you get the courage to do that, try lighted candles.
