I want to change the color of my 2002 Camaro from Pewter to Black. How much would it cost to do a good paint job that would last long?

because you are changing colors you are looking at at least 1500 for a decent paint job. All the door jams and everything else being taped takes a while, My father-in-law paints cars and he told this one kid that it is probably cheaper and a lot less hassle trading in the car for the color he wants

With quality work expect to pay out up to 3,000 dollars. Most painters will do the door jambs and around the engine bay but a complete stock looking job will even cost more than that all the door trims removed windows out trunk repaint remove paint under all body mouldings, Paint around the cowl by removing the front fenders. keep adding dollars. And Now that the EPA regulates toxic coatings and body shop emissions. I have seen jet black paint jobs costing nearly 10,000 but it was perfect. ANY imperfections show really bad in the reflection when you spray black..

A GOOD AND LASTING JOB THAT IS PAINTED CORRECTLY INCLUDING ALL JAMS AND SEAMS, UNDER-HOOD AND TRUNK.........I WOULD SAY $2500 TO $3500............IF YOU WANT IT DONE PERFECTLY.
