I have a good suggestion that would help the whole world.?

Question

Instead of going to war in the middle east and dumping billions of dollars into an economy that is totally self destructive why dont we call back our troops and send them into mexico.
Use our military might to
1. wipe out the drug trade
2. wipe out the corruption in thier gov.
3. give them a country they can live in. (They already have a thriving tourist base)
Perhaps by doing this we can wipe out the illegal imagration problem, boost the U.S. economy, Take the strain off health care, reduce drug related and poverty related crimes.
The middle east is a lost cause we need to focus on the U.S.
Face it the middle east is never going to stop fighting but perhaps we can make things better here if we refocus our efforts. What do you think?

If you want to eliminate drugs and illegal immigrants coming from Mexico, you can put more border agents and/or troops on the border. It is not necessary to invade Mexico.

Increasing border security might be a good idea, but it can be done in addition to the war in the Middle East. There's no need to choose.

And I don't think the Middle East is a lost cause.

Your ideas seem good to me. We need to get our troops home, alive as soon as possible. Why are we in a country(ies) that do not understand democracy and frankly, don't want one and don't want us there?
If we sent our troops to Mexico, would they be allowed to do the job of wiping out the drug trade, and the corruption in their government? Probably not - for it would unbalance our trade ties with our southern ally! But it is a great idea!

That definitely won't happen, but I think the troops should conduct maneuvers the entire length of the borders, armed with a lot of live ammo and authority to keep out illegal aliens, would-be terrorists and drug runners. There would have to be a written promise that they won't be court martialed for doing it.

That would kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

This is what I call universal thinking. Good of you to think this way. In fact, if your suggestion is carried out by the politicians, then they can save themselves and the world a lot of agony.

The problem with the US govenmrnt is that they think only one way, and see things fro m a very narrow minded position.

Yes, if they can dedicate a small portion of the war budget, they can do wonders and come out as leaders of the world.

Your idea is not as bad as some would think. I do think we need to finish what was started in the Middle East. Insurgent groups do need to stopped or it will be worse later. I do agree that the "insurgents" from south of the boarder need stopped also.

I'm in your camp ! We are definately being invaded, and then told how we need them, by them. Politicians say that we can't round them up, and send them all back, my question is "WHY NOT", how many people does a 747 hold ? over 400 ?, and just how many 747's does the U.S. have ? about 1000 ?

We can can clean up all of the "Vermin" in just two weeks ! They entered the country illegally, they are criminals, write your congressman and tell him he should worry about the American Vote, NOT the spanish vote, we'll put their azz OUT OF OFFICE by OUR VOTE !
